On June 1, the first day of the last month of the Rotary year, Pres. Louie Aseoche and PP Cesar Campos motored to Malabon City for a community service activity under the area of focus, Disease Prevention, and Treatment.
The project was a health mission at the Malabon National High School, a joint activity with our brother club, RC Malabon, and PolyHealth, a health facility owned by the Campos family.
The mission consisted of the administration of hearing tests to 50 pre-identified students and the distribution of oral hygiene kits containing toothpaste, toothbrush, and mouthwash. Ten boys also underwent circumcision at the PolyHealth.
During the short program, PP Cesar shared his love story with his late wife, Ludy, and how their support for Malabon was born and has evolved, with the opening and subsequent expansion of the PolyHealth that caters to the health and medical needs of the community.
RC Malabon Pres. Ernie Sia, for his part, expressed gratitude for the constant support given by RC Makati to his Club and to the community, while Pres. Louie emphasized on the significance of the project and the importance of good oral health. The service day ended with a video showing off the super Pinoy oral health seminar.
This is the 2nd health project of the Club has undertaken in Malabon and in collaboration with RC Malabon and PolyHealth.
With the scheduled return of face-to-face classes to schools, the Club is committed to continuing its support of health initiatives that benefit students, with or without the pandemic
